On behalf of the members of Jagdhornverein Twin Cities, welcome and thanks for visiting our site.

The seed of this organization was planted in 2023 or so when I experienced the video performances of the Austrian ensemble Jagdhornverein Windhag on YouTube. Despite having played horn for more than 40 years, somehow I had never known of the modern-day parforce horn ensemble until then. I was so taken by their performances that I knew I wanted to have that experience myself, so I set about obtaining an instrument of my own. By Spring of 2024 I had one; and by an amazing confluence of circumstances and the willingness of local friends and fellow horn players to make the same investment, by Summer of 2025 we had enough instruments and players to form an ensemble. I am enternally gratefully those to founding members and cannot thank them enough for embracing this same vision.
